HISTORY
BRIEF HISTORY “WESTFIELD INTERNATIONAL” KLAGON
MOTTO: Excellence Is Not A Skill, It Is An Attitude)
Westfield International School was started with a preschool by Mr. Peter T. Andoh and Mrs. Alberta Agbleze Andoh on the 22nd September, 2009 with (2) pupils, a teacher and a cleaner.
After six (6) months the number increased to four (4). This saw the beginning of Nursery one with an additional teacher.
By September, 2010 which was the 1st anniversary the number had increased to fifteen (15) pupils with three (3) teachers.
In September 2011, Mrs. Irene Vicentia Acorlor, was appointed to head the school.
The third year started Grade one (1) with four (4) pupils.
By the forth year: the enrolment increased overwhelmingly to a hundred and forty (140) pupils with thirteen (13) teaching and non-teaching staff.
Young as we were because of diligence and hard work the Ghana Education service, Tema Metropolitan Directorate, presented a citation in honour of Westfield International School for being one of the best private schools in the Metropolis.
We gradually grew over the years. In July 2019 we celebrated our tenth anniversary. We also had our first batch graduate in 2020.
Discipline is our hallmark. With the guidance of dedicated and experienced teachers our first group of candidates had excellent results. Each was able to make it to their first choice Senior High School.
