WESTFIELD INTERNATIONAL was founded by Mr. Peter T. Andoh and Mrs. Alberta A. Andoh on the 22nd September 2009, with a boy and a girl by names Derrick Uriemu and Adwoa Arhin, a cleaner and gardener called Mr. Bright Teku (alias) Masco of blessed memory.The home science block was used as the office and the administration block.  Madam Gertrude Attipoe assisted Mrs. Alberta Andoh in preparing meals from the house to the school.

The first teachers were Miss Mary Kwabea and Miss Mary Donkor who taught crèche and nursery respectively.

When Miss Kwabea left the school, Miss Linda Donkor was employed to replace her. The number of pupils had then increased to fifty by the year 2010.

In September 2011, Mrs. Irene Vincentia Acorlor, the first headteacher joined the staff.

Grade one was started by four pupils namely: Keziah Adeti, Jessica Edze, Perry Arhin and Gloria Sey.

The teaching staff included Mr. Daniel Ocloo, Miss Mary Donkor, Miss Linda Darko and Miss Yvonne Mensah.

The non-teaching staffs included Miss Patience Asuma the secretary, Miss Joyce Obeng and Mr. Bright Deku (deceased). Madam Gertrude Aku Attipoe also served as a counselor and assisted to conduct interview for new applicants.

The school experienced a very rapid and consistent growth in terms of enrolment, over a short period of existence. Currently it has a population of 188 boys, 159 girls, teachings staff 23 and non-teaching staffs 10.

The school has facilities that promote teaching and learning. These include a very spacious, a well-equipped and furnished administration block with computers, printers, photocopiers and scanners, ventilation is apt in the classrooms.

We also has active computer science laboratories, home economies, library, music room, kitchen, canteen, cafeteria and a playground.

To make the pupils feel at home, co-curriculum activities have been incorporated in the school activities. The school has a cadet corps, a school band, and audio visual equipment. Currently, the basic grade 8 are being seriously groomed to write their first Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) in the year 2020.

The school has a vibrant and supportive (P.T.A) Parents Teachers Association, whose generous efforts led to the acquisition of a new set of musical instruments.

The school has since inception cooperated with the Tema Metropolitan Directorate of Education by complying with professional advice given by the office and always attend workshops organized for schools.
